JANE
OWNER/INSTRUCTOR
I was born and raised in the United Kingdom, but moved to the United States in 2007. I have worked in the wellness industry for over 25 years. I believe that my love for yoga stems from my experience as a ballroom dancer. I’ll forever value the memories I treasure of my father and I waltzing around the dancefloor in my earlier years.
I am very hands-on in my instruction, assisting with alignment, adjustment, and direction. When done skillfully and correctly, it can be a progressive tool. I aim for my students to feel the pose, mentally and physically. Yoga is my passion and shines bright within my guided instruction.
Yoga and the Beach is a unique, boutique-style yoga studio, located close to Wrightsville Beach. My mission is to include a level of luxury and comfort to every class, while ensuring that you have an enjoyable wellness experience.
I am thrilled to be here, and I’ll be thrilled for you to be here too!

KELLIE
INSTRUCTOR
Kellie started taking yoga classes 8 years ago mainly to stay in shape. After a few classes, she quickly realized that yoga was much more than just a workout for her. Yoga became something she needed in her day to day life. In 2019, she received her yoga certification at Yoga Love in Highland, Maryland.
“I went through the training to further my own practice and to get to know myself on a deeper level. I sincerely didn’t consider at the time how much teaching would impact my life. I will always remain humbled and honored to share time and space with other yogis who are trusting me to guide them in their practice. I have been so blessed for the journey yoga has taken me on and the people I have met along the way. Yoga has also helped me navigate some of the most challenging times of my life and for that I am forever grateful.”

YULIA
Yulia embarked on her yoga journey back in 2005 at the age of 17. Diagnosed with stage 3 scoliosis and never having played any sports in school, she took a challenging hatha class out of curiosity. She was immediately fascinated with breathing techniques and alignment cues that opened a door to never ending exploration of her body and mind.
After 15 years of consistent practice she completed her first 200hr yoga teacher training under Heather Metzler at Wilmington Yoga Center in 2020 and started actively teaching right away. She has also been trained in prenatal yoga (being 34 weeks pregnant herself) and pranayama. Now she’s pursuing her 300hr teacher training.
Yulia has a mix of classic hatha and ashtanga background which makes her vinyasa classes powerful and alignment focused. However, she loves bringing creative sequencing to her classes as she believes our minds have to stay flexible as much as the bodies.

CAROLINE
Born and raised in the Swiss Alps, I developed a love for downhill skiing as my main sport. After finishing school, I seized the opportunity to work as a travel agent in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe, immersing myself in diverse cultures and experiences. In 1995, I moved to the USA with my two young sons, where we took up Martial Arts and achieved the level of Shodan together.
When we relocated to Wilmington in 2007, I turned to yoga, which quickly became a cornerstone of my life. After a few years of dedicated practice, I decided to deepen my commitment by obtaining my first teaching certificate in 2016. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge and skills in vinyasa, body sculpt (Pranapump), yin, and hands-on assists.
Yoga has provided a perfect balance to my athletic pursuits, including tennis, hiking, and climbing. It grounds me, enhances my focus, and promotes healthy breathing, contributing to my overall well-being and injury-free lifestyle.
Beyond physical benefits, yoga has been a source of inspiration, strength and positivity during life's challenges, helping me stay true to myself and maintain a positive outlook. During good times, yoga keeps me level-headed and grateful, allowing me to be a more giving and generous person.

Passion. Pain. Purpose. Trauma. Learning. Listening. Teaching. Growth.
These words aren't even the beginning of the journey Becki has been on over the last decade and a half. Yet, in her desperation, yoga found her. Yoga has become her home. Through this initial experience and community she found herself ultimately completing her RYT 200HR and RYT 500HR Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in Nashville,TN at NuPower Yoga and Barre and Liberation Yoga. While her foundation is Vinyasa, and Power, she also is certified in Yin Yoga, Restore, Sculpt Yoga, and most recently she completed her Sound Healing Certification.

Her voice has been recorded on multi-platinum pop records, she was nominated for an Emmy for her performance of the NBC Today Show Theme song and her music and songwriting has been featured in countless TV shows, films, ads and more.
Recently she combined her two worlds and created a record for a 60 min Yoga Flow, with differing BPM’s, healing tones and vibrations all centering a full length Yoga class. Lavandula, the record was born from her gift of songwriting and offered as her Seva to the yoga community at large.
