Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Our Yoga and the Beach teachers bring a variety of styles, techniques, and skills to our classes helping our students learn and grow their practice. See below to learn more about each teacher, their unique backgrounds, and the knowledge they bring to each yoga class.

Kellie

I started taking yoga classes 8 years ago mainly to stay in shape. After a few classes, I quickly realized  that yoga was much more than just a workout for me.  Yoga became something I needed in my day to day life.
In 2019, I received my yoga certification at Yoga Love in Highland, Maryland. I went through the training to further my own practice and to get to know myself on a deeper level. I sincerely didn’t consider at the time how much teaching would impact my life.  I will always remain humbled and honored to share time and space with other yogis who are trusting me to guide them in their practice.  I have been so blessed for the journey yoga has taken me on and the people I have met along the way. Yoga has also helped me navigate some of the most challenging times of my life and for that I am forever grateful

Margaux

My journey with yoga began in college when I stumbled upon a yoga class during a challenging time in my college career. From that very first class, I was captivated by the serenity and balance it brought to my chaotic existence. Yoga challenged me in ways that were not only physical, but asked me to stretch my heart and my mind beyond their limits. My practice draws me inward – forcing me to look at my shadows. It constantly draws on my potential and pushes me to think outside of myself, drawing me to the collective selves and the importance of community.  Little did I know that it would become my lifelong passion and a path to self-discovery. After a few years of consistently taking yoga classes, my curiosity about the philosophy behind yoga peaked my interest. I completed my 200 hour RYT in March of 2022 and began teaching in July of 2022. Yoga, to me, is more than just physical postures or asanas. It is a profound journey of self-exploration, conscious breathing, and the journey inward. Through asanas, pranayama, and meditation, I strive to create an inclusive and nurturing space where students can connect with their bodies, minds, and spirits.

Jen

Jen’s journey in Yoga began later in life and has been a positive life changing experience on every level. Yoga has developed into a true passion. Jen continues to learn and grow from a physical and spiritual perspective with each class.

Jen completed her RYT 200HR in 2017 under the tutelage of Lexi Hawks and Mary Moore and completed an apprenticeship with Lexi Hawks in 2020. Jen is currently enrolled in ATT 300HR with a focus on Yin and Vinyasa. Jen is truly grateful for the opportunity to share her passion for Yoga on and off the mat.

Megan

I grew up in performance arts around NC, focusing mainly on ballet. I started dancing at age 3 and continued towards a professional goal in ballet until I was about 19. That was when I found Pilates because my mom decided to get certified. I fell in love with it and immediately decided to get certified with her. I received my comprehensive certification through Balance Point Pilates and the National Pilates Certification Program (formerly PMA). I‘ve been teaching since 2012 and plan to teach forever! Movement is my life’s passion – I aspire to help others love movement and connect with themselves in profound and positive ways. I also still teach and work with my mom!
I love dancing, traveling, attending music shows, and watching movies in my free time.
